Karla Florez, presents The Gusano Verde at 22nd World Congress on Dance in Athens, Greece



Karla Florez, author of The Gusano Verde is one of the 700 specialist from 64 countries participating at the 22nd World Congress on Dance and Reserch in Athens, Greece, the largest gathering of dance specialists world-wide.
As part of the work with Ombligo'e Kazabe Karla Flores has have been teaching Spanish as well. At this moment she is pursuing a Teacher Certificate in the Dalcroze Methodology at the RADI Institute in NYC and developing a "Spanish Through the Arts" program, using Colombian folklore and cultural references.
Karla Florez is presenting her book El Gusano Verde and the dance as the best opportunity to showcase one's work to a wide audience of practitioners, dance teachers, choreographers, researchers, journalists and organizers.
Venue is the Electra Palace Hotel, a 5-star hotel with roof swimming pool in Plaka, the picturesque old town of Athens under the Acropolis.
The congress is organized by the Dora Stratou Dance Theater and the Athens Section CID, in collaboration with the International Dance Council CID.
Under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Education, the Municipality of Athens and the National UNESCO Commission.
Karla Florez and the Gusano Verde show will participate at the opening night ceremony of the III Annual Book Fair in Astoria, New York on October 3, 2008.
